Looking Forward To A New Year. My Goals For 2018.

Looking Forward To A New Year. My Goals For 2018.
One thing I love about a new year is that the fact I get to set new goals, life goals in fact. I'm not one for this whole 'new year, new me' bullish*t, I will be the exact same person on the 1st January as I was on the 31st December, but I do like to try make myself a few goals to try become a better person. Last year I set four goals and I was successful in completing three. I was lucky enough to find a permanent job, which was fantastic, what made the job even better was the team I joined. Honestly from day one, I knew I'd made the right choice and this sort of helped with another goal I set, which was to find happiness. At the start of this year, I wasn't at the greatest place, however, I am ending this year with real happiness. There's no more painting on a smile, it's a real smile and it's the kind of smile where my cheeks hurt. I laugh endlessly day in, day out and I feel so much happier, happier than I've felt in years. Another goal I managed to achieve was a little bit of a fun one, in 2017 I wanted to do a skydive and I did just that. I jumped 10,000ft from a plane. It was the best day of my life. The views, the buzz, everything it was just amazing. Now the goal I didn't manage to achieve was to lose weight, I tried but failed. Miserably. It's just so hard when your the Queen of Carbs and love a good meal or two...

So now it's time to set myself some new goals. Easy and achievable goals. The first one on my list is the one I failed this year. In 2018, I want to lose the fat. I want it gone. I want to feel confident in myself again and I want to be able to feel better in dresses/skirts etc. 2018 is going to be the year I do it. Just watch this space... Along with losing the fat, I want to do two other health related things. I want to become a lot more active and I want to take up yoga (hot yoga if possible). So from the 1st January 2018 that fitbit will be on my arm, I will be making sure I get off my backside and I will try and attempt a yoga class or two.

Another goal, which I think will be easy to achieve is to spend more time with my friends. We're all growing up now, some are working all the hours in the world, having babies, buying houses and what not, but I still think it's important for us to have our girlie days. I probably have the best set of friends a girl can ask for, so I am hoping in 2018 we can create even better, ever lasting memories together.

Finally in 2018 I want to laugh more. I want to be a much more positive person, a much nicer and I want to smile that bit more too. Here's to 2018.

  1. Awh all of these goals are so achievable I know you'll be able to do them all. Spending time with friends is definitely something I want to try and do more next year too.

  3. losing weight is a never ending goal, unfortunately I broke my leg and was unable to work out so I lost some of my fitness. But I'm hoping to get back to my old self in 2018 as well
