The Liquid Highlight You Need This Party Season Reviews & Swatches.

The Liquid Highlight You Need This Party Season Reviews & Swatches.
A brand that I am very much obsessed with is Makeup Revolution. The brand is a little controversial. A bit like Marmite I might say. Some people love it, some people hate it. I for one love it. I find the brand a great way to try new products out without paying a hefty price tag if I find the product to a big dud. A product I absolutely love is highlighter, I have quite an array in my collection (which continues to grow) however, one thing was missing. A liquid highlighter. Know I know everyone and their Mum raves about the Cover FX liquid highlighters but I wasn't sure I'd love the idea of a liquid highlighter. So obviously I thought I'd try a much cheaper alternative first.

So I opted for the Makeup Revolution Liquid Highlighter | £6 in the shade 'champagne' which is my type of highlighter shade. The packaging is beautiful and even comes with a rose gold lid! Now what's more beautiful than rose gold?! The applicator is a dropper, which I found very easily to use and I just placed a few drops onto the area I wanted to highlighter. I've only used the liquid highlighter on my cheek bones. I was going to add it to my foundation to create a dewy glow, however, when I was swatching it, I found it to be very glittery and I mean very glittery, so I went against adding it to my foundation. However, it does create a very beautiful glow to the cheek bones and I was very impressed, even just by swatching some on my hand.

A little goes a long way as the product is very running and a little oily too. I first applied my base, so my primer, foundation and concealer. I waited to powder as I didn't know how it would react with the powder product. Once I had added some drops to my skin, I went ahead with my finger and started dabbing it in, I then got my Beauty Blender | £16 and blended it further and found it blended a lot better with my Beauty Blender. I then added some powder highlight to the top of it, as I really love an intense highlight.

There are six other shades in the range and I cannot wait to try more. I don't think I could wear this every single day, but, it's perfect for the upcoming party season.

  1. I haven't tried a liquid highlight yet, but this is reasonably priced so a good way of trying. My daughter is a MUA and she always says to apply all cream products first then powder, don't know if that's helpful or not ha ha, but I always struggled with it before she told me xxxx
