Too Faced Hangover Primer Review.

Too Faced, Primer, Review
Over the years Too Faced has become one of my favourite brands, I am obsessed with their eye products, my favourite been their 'Better than sex' mascara, however, recently I've been expanding my Too Faced collection and recently I've been testing out a few of their face products too. Too Faced products are always a little different, quite quirky and fun. I mean have you seen their chocolate bar palettes? They are yummy.

Now, if you know me, you'll know I am a little bit makeup obsessed and love testing out new products, so recently when I was on the hunt for a new primer to try, I decided to purchase the Too Faced Hangover | £27. I don't normally like spending tonnes of money on a primer, especially seen as my absolute favourite primer costs me £3 but sometimes you have to treat yourself and have a little splurge. Primers are something I've grown to love, years ago I never even knew what a primer was, now I cannot live without one. They are great little products as they act as a barrier between your skin and the makeup and nine times out of ten they make your makeup apply better and also make it last longer too.
Too Faced, Primer, Review.
So does the Too Faced Hangover primer live up to my expectations? The primer is designed to help cure the skin, especially after those long days and long nights... this is perfect for me as just recently I've been working 10 hour days and my skin is paying the price. Now, if you know me, you'll know I hate things feeling heavy on my skin, however this isn't at all heavy and in fact you can hardly feel it on the skin. After applying to the skin (I apply using my fingers, I find this works best - don't worry, I wash them first!) I could see a difference immediately to my skin, it instantly felt hydrated. The added hydration is probably down to the coconut water infused within the primer, meaning that not only is it a fabulous makeup item, but it is also a decent skin care product too. The aim of the primer is to help replenish tired looking skin whilst ensuring the makeup stays in place all day too. Honestly, this primer makes your skin look like it's had it's full eight hours kip, it's a god send! Although the primer is infused with coconut water, it is unscented and you cannot smell any coconuts at all.

Too Faced describe the primer as 'a creamy energy drink for the skin' aiming to keep the skin as moisturized as possible. This I can agree with, as I said above, my skin felt immediately hydrated after application and it lasts all day long. The moisture in the primer adds such a glowy look to the skin, which is something I look for in makeup products as I love a glowy finish. The product can be used as a base for your foundation, but, also on it's own to add that extra bit of hydration to the skin. Another bonus is that the primer is not at all sticky, something that is a must for me.
Too Faced, Primer, Review.
My skin has never looked so flawless since using this primer, it is much brighter and happier since testing it out. I feel it actually works as both a primer and a skincare product and my skin can certainly feel the benefits, especially in this mini heatwave were having here in the UK at the minute.

  1. I love Too Faced products too, their packaging is always so gorgeous! I've been trying to find a primer I love for ages as so many of them are a bit too drying for my skin but this sounds amazing! Lovely photos too!

  8. this has been one of those products that I've been meaning to try for ages but just have never got round to it. I'm quite similar to you in the sense that makeup that's a lil expensive I'd rather just miss and pick up a cheaper alternative. But, I LOVE the sound of this!! Your review has sold me, I need to pick it up asap

  10. This primer sounds phenomenal. I gotta admit, I rarely wear make up but when I do, a primer is such an essential!
